The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I padded along in the snow, my light brown legs going deep into the snow. I blinked the snow out of my grey eyes. Why was I out here, instead of a warm, dry den? It's because I didn't have that. I didn't have a pack, family, friends... I was all alone in this big, cold world. So, I had to keep going. I had to do something. I whimpered pathetically to myself; I was alone. It was such a depressing word. Alone.
As I moved through the snow, slowly but surely, I came across something poking out of the snow. Was that... a tail? Yes, a red tail sticking up out of the snow. I shook my head in disbelief and bounced over to it. Taking a sniff, I was overcome by the scent of the tail. It smelled delicious. And I was hungry; I hadn't eaten all day. Not even thinking about the owner of the tail, I reached down and gave the tail a bite.

Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
(ooc: I'm not sure how well I'll do in first person, but I'll do my best
)
bic: I had been sleeping under a thin blanket of snow, enough to block out the noise of the wind; I was unaware that I had left a few inches of my fluffy red and gray tail exposed. I opened my eyes, my ears twitching slightly in response to the pressure on my tail, but I was too sleepy to move that much. I yawned, causing some snow to fall off of my head and neck.

(OOC: No problem. If you wanna use... second or third person, isn't it? Go ahead!
)
I jumped back as the owner of the tail moved.
"S-s-s-s-orry!" I muttered through shivering teeth. I crawled over to the head of another wolf sticking up out of the snow. "My apologies. I'm so hungry and your tail smelled so good," I said and grinned, guessing the other wolf thought I was nuts.

I looked sympathetically at the other wolf, my eyes sparkling, displaying the sorrow I felt when I saw how cold she was; "Don't worry about it; come here, you must be freezing," I said warmly, standing for a moment to get the snow off of me, then laying back down so that I could warm her up.

I smiled.
"Thank you, you're so kind," I said, and crawled to the wolf's side, laying down to lean against his red fur. I soon warmed up. "I guess I should introduce myself," I said and laughed. "I'm Moonstar."

I smiled at Moonstar; "Nice to meet you, I'm Shadow," I said, curling my tail around her to warm her back up.

I smiled.
"It's nice to meet you Shadow, and thanks again for... warming me up..." I trailed off, looking at Shadow's tail curling around me. "Holy hound, your tail is HUGE!" I gasped, gaping at the five-foot-long red tail.

I giggled a little at Moonstar's reaction; "Yeah, it's a long tail all right," I said, twitching my tail tip absentmindedly.

"Yeah, very long indeed," I said, still gawking at Shadow's tail swishing innoncently through the snow. I pulled me grey eyes away from it and smiled at Shadow. "Thanks again for taking me in. I really needed a friend..." I sighed, yawning. I could no longer keep my eyes open, and drifted off into sleep.

I smiled at Moonstar, and was grateful that there was no more wind to cover me with snow like last time. I curled my tail tighter around my new friend to keep her warm, and fell asleep myself.

Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I pulled open my grey eyes to find warm, bright sunshine melting a bit of the snow around me. I sighed happily; spring was coming. Maybe I could catch more and gain some pounds, and wouldn't be so rib-showing. I stood up and yawned, then noticed another wolf body next to me. I yelped and leapt away, then remembered Shadow: the kind wolf who had taken me in last night. I laughed to myself and looked around, looking around for prey until Shadow woke up.

Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I vaguely heard Moonstar yelp in surprise, and I couldn't blame her; it must have been startling to see me so close to her. I was still slightly asleep, so I used my wider space to roll onto my back and spread my legs, letting the sun warm my underside as I twitched my tail happily.

I giggled at Shadow's swishing tail, then took a deep breath. There was a rabbit nearby. I crouched down, then leapt forward to grab a rabbit. I instantly killed it and brought it over to Shadow, poking him with my paw.
"Hey, you, wake up!" I said. "I got something for us to eat, even though I'm not sure it'll be enough for you!" I said and laughed.

I lazily opened my eyes before comically flopping down on my side to look at Moonstar. "Don't worry, you can have it; you look like you haven't eaten in ages," I said, smiling warmly at her and brushing my tail against one of her front legs.

Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
My belly suddenly growled hungrily; reminding me I hadn't eaten in a few days. Before devouring the rabbit, I smiled at Shadow. When almost all the rabbit was gone, I sighed.
"Ah, that's so much better," I said, hiccuping a little. I stood up, stretched, and said to Shadow, "Aren't you hungry?"
