History: Grew up near Montreal, Quebec. He met his mate Julie at the University of Montreal while doing his degree (and eventual PhD) in chemistry. Their daughter Marie-Claire was born in 2010.
Personality: Shy in nature, but fiercely intelligent, passionate about hockey and his Montreal Canadiens, and very loving and protective of his family. Very concerned about the future of the planet, but determined to do what he can. Disdainful of greed and those who hate science.
