Re: The Beach- General RP
Suni was slightly hurt by the shock of Twister's reaction. But when he kissed her, everything went away, the world stopped turning. She was locked in the moment, and a carefree feeling of happiness and ... bliss fillled her, a feeling she had every time Twister kissed her... She smiled and kissed him back, as wet (^^) and purley loving as him.So happy he felt the same way.... A song she'd wrote, a very short song, came to her head-- The question is... was it just a kiss? Was it just for him? Was it just for me?No, for both of us it was harmony.... a sweet loving memory....
She hummed it in her head...
When he'd gotten up, she touched her nose to his and put a small but strong paw on his chest, feeling his heart beat in time with hers. 'My heart is yours, always' she heard him say, and it was true. The pair limped along, off to fill thier hungry stomachs. But more than that was driving them on...They'd be together, forever, and now they both knew that thier passion was shared by the other, and a bright future was ahead of them, and all because of a love of one place-- the beach.

Twister limped along, but he was faster than before. His back right leg was feeling a bit better, probably, he thought, because of Suni's presence. When they both reached the edge of the forest, Twister gave Suni yet another kiss and smiled at her softly. "Ya like apples? I like apples. Okay, it's settled, we'll eat apples! Haha, at least they aren't as dangerous as... as... coconuts." Twister shook himself to get that darned fruit out of his mind.
"Wait here... I'll get us some!" Twister limped his way towards a tree at the edge of the forest, clawed into it, and slowly made his way up the tree. If his back leg wasn't bothering him so much, he could've made it up a lot quicker. Eventually, he was at the very first branch, and he leaned on it with his weight, pushing down and then pulling up until half a dozen apples came falling from the tree. Twister laughed, making his way down the tree very carefully.
When he reached bottom, he approached Suni, and stuck out his tongue. "When I lived and traveled alone, I was desperate for food... so i tried apples, and they're awesome!" Twister said with a chuckle. He padded his way over to the apples that had landed on the ground, and picked out the biggest, juiciest one from the pile... then he gave it to Suni. "For you, Sunshine." Twister took one for himself. It wasn't as big and juicy as the one he gave his love, but he didn't care. All he wanted was for Suni to have the best. Lucky for Twister, she wanted the same for him. So it all worked out, a perfect relationship between two huskies... special to each other in their own ways.

"Apples.... mm!" Suni replied, smiling. She watched a bit nervously as Twister climed delicatley but surley up the apple tree. The red fruits hit the ground with a soft 'thud'. "Nice!" Suni called with a chuckle.
As she watched Twister nose throught the apples, she saw him pick the brightest one for her, and could smell it was fresh and juicy too. She smiled, shaking her head with joy. I'm so lucky.... lucky to have him....so lucky.... Suni thought happily, and bit into her apple, settling next to her love. They rested thier heads against the other's, and sunlight shone all around them. Suni took a bite of the juicy apple and rolled it with her nose over to Twister's paws. "Here-- it's a better one than yours... and you need your strentgh..."
She hoped he accepted her offering, because she wanted him to have the best, and it was no doubt it's what he wanted for her. That night, after exploring a nearby creek and watching the silver fish in it, the two curled up tightly next to each other. Tails twined and paws over the other's,thier hearts beat as one. Passion flared within each husky. Suni couldn't belive how fast she'd become attached to Twister... it was like they were destined to meet... and to be together. Suni dreamed of the two of them running in the warm sand, waves rolling in with a shine of sun on them.... they ran forever, never to separate.... always to love each other...

Twister laughed with joy as Suni gave him the apple back. "Thanks, gal. You're the best." Twister quickly devoured the apple that Suni had given him with no problem at all. And then he leaned over to quickly give her a kiss, with his sugary, sticky tongue.
The two curled up for sleep in their den, the same one as the night before. The night was chilly, but Twister gave warmth to Suni, and Suni gave some in return. Their fur was pressed together tightly, just like their hearts. Even if they were seperated in body, the would never be seperated in their hearts. This love was meant to be, and both of the huskies knew it. At first Twister thought it had maybe happened too quickly. But he could see it in her eyes, that this was the one he was looking for. The one he loved. And love doesn't wait.
Twister growled in excitement as he gave Suni a long, passionate nuzzle. "Ya make a good pillow, Sunshine," Twister commented with his usual chuckle. "G'night, darlin'. Love ya..." Twister rested his head near Suni's, took in the warmth and love radiating from her fur, and slowly fell asleep.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Aw, Baruu , those are words of wisdom!^^ That is magnificent. ^^
Suni pushed against Twister as he nuzzled her, returning the gesture. She wondered agian how suddenly she had fallen for the strong husky, but she too could tell that it wasn't false; wasn't rushed. It was perfect.... a match made in heaven.(^^)
"I love you....too..." Suni whispered, but it barley was heard, as she fell asleep. Warm and content.... always to have love.

Morning came. Birds twittering thier songs, Suni and Twister sat , watching the sweet light of sunrise creep across the horizon. The soft roll of the waves was comforting, and Suni swayed in time to it. She looked at Twister, smiling. Both of them had been silent the whole morning, thier loving gestures saying enough. Nuzzles and kisses are so calming coming from Twister, Suni thought. Looking back out to sea, seeing the sand glow golden with sunlight, she heard Twister utter, "It's beautiful... just like my Sunshine..." and he nuzzled her neck. It was comforting and welcome. She gazed into the deep depths of passion that were his eyes and simply said, "I love you...". The sun at its full height now, the pair kissed under a soft glow of warmpth.

Haha, a match made in Heaven is right
Twister backed away from Suni's kiss and looked at her lovingly. Twister gazed at her every once in a while, and then apologized because he was starin'. But then again, it was hard to look away. Twister let out a snicker, but not in a mean way. "No need ta get too mushy, yeah?" Twister loved Suni, but sometimes the 'lovey dovey' stuff got on his nerves. Although Twister did have to admit, she was heck of a lot beautiful, and every single one of her kisses were just the way Twister liked them- wet and full of lovin'.
Twister scratched his right ear, the one with the yellow tag in it, and the quickly looked to Suni. "My leg's feelin' better. Haha, I think it had somethin' to do with you," Twister said. And that was true. Everything was better with Suni around. He was willing to step out of his comfort zone and do things he wouldn't normally do, without having to worry about getting yourself clawed by a bear, or starving to death. With Suni around, there were no boundaries, and with no boundaries, there were no limits.
Twister scratched his ear again. It was starting to bother him. Not only did it itch, but it stung as well. And every time this happened, something very, very bad was on the horizon. Twister was worried, not only for himself, but also for his love. The look on his face didn't show his nervousness, and neither did his voice, but deep down, he could feel something bad was going to happen. "Mah ear itches," Twister said with his usual chuckle. But this was no laughing matter.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Suni's cheeks flushed pink, embarassed and thought she'd gone too far. But the familiar twinkle in Twister's eyes showed her there was nothing to be ashamed about. She could tell he liked 'em all she gave 'em. ( 'Twister talk'; again! ^^)
"Oh, that's wonderful! That's so great!!" she bounced slightly with excitement. Then she noticed Twister's ear was bothering him. Those crappy humans she thought. A jolt of anxiousness bounced from Twister's coat, clear as the water. Shocked with wonder and fear, Suni wondered what was wrong. Even his good natured laugh wasn't going to work this time an cover up anything. She knew he sensed danger, adn she wasn't ready for him to get hurt yet again.
"Twister, what's ... what's wrong...?"
( I don't know about you, but now I'm so into my character that , every time you embarass her, or she embarasses herself, I actually AM embarassed in real life..... >_< Embarassment is such a icky feeling.... if that's the only word I can come up wtih... gosh it sounds so cheesy-- 'icky'... lol!! ^^ But I do feel embarassed for Suni. haha, its funny)

Re: The Beach- General RP
Twister looked at Suni with a smile. But in his head, he was thinking Crap... she knows somethin's wrong... He couldn't really hide anything from his love. They both knew each other too well, even after only a few days of knowing each other. He had to tell her what was wrong. If he really loved her, he would tell her... so he did.
"Er, yeah... When my ear starts hurtin' and botherin', it's like a sign. A sign that... somethin' bads gonna happen. But I never know what it actually is until... it happens. It irritates the heck outta me," Twister said, scratching his ear again to try and get rid of the discomfort. But it was still there. Twister knew one thing that might help...
"Not tryin' to be hasty, but... gimme a kiss. Right there, on my ear. Gentle, now... please! Of course, I meant please." Twister leaned over towards Suni, sticking his head practically in her face. Her kiss probably wouldn't get rid of the pain, but it might just soothe it enough so Twister wouldn't feel so nervous. The last time his ear bothered him, he nearly lost one of his eyes. It was very unpleasant. But maybe with Suni with him, it would be... a little less unpleasant, but unpleasant nonetheless.
(Haha, I really know what ya mean. xD Sometimes when I role play and I make a post, I think 'What in the world did I just say' >.> Especially when I was new to RP, I made a lot of stupid comments. So you're not alone. I feel for my characters as well, but most of the time I feel for other people's characters. It really does get me worried sometimes when someone else's character gets hurt and nearly dies. I actually get worried, sometimes more so than the actual characters are. So yeah, it's a heck of a lot weird. xD But I know how you feel )

Re: The Beach- General RP
Suni's eyes widened in suprise, not expecting what Twister said. She flinched. Knowing now that his ear had predicted the grizzly attack, she was scared out of her fur.
Smiling, she obeyed Twister's command. It was an easy job, and the job itself was payment enough. (^^)
Noticably calming him down, Suni enjoyed how Twister had pushed his head into her neck's thick fur. Shivering with delight, she almost wanted to return the nudge, but.... she stopped herself, remembering how Twister didn't want any more 'mushy' stuff. So instead, she just leaned into him for a moment, then backed away, leaving the two dogs to wonder with foreboding what was to come.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Twister leaned himself on Suni, just as she leaned on him. An idea popped into his head. Although it wasn't really a time to joke around, Twister felt that it would boost their spirits so that they could be prepared for whatever came their way. Twister laughed through his teeth, and then leaned over towards the sand, and since Suni was leaning on him, she fell as well, right on top of Twister. "Haha, gotcha good that time!" he said with his always upbeat laugh.
"Urgh, you're heavy, ya know that? I mean! You're not... fat, just heavy, as in... gah, forget I said that!" Twister said, embarrassed, which was pretty rare for him. Slowly, Twister stood up. His back leg was feeling much better, and he could trot just slowly on it. He helped Suni up, and then he had another idea, one that was probably not a good idea, but it would still be fun. "Suni, hop on my back! I'll ride ya 'round!" Twister yelled, laying down so that she could get on.
The fact that something bad was coming didn't stop Twister from having a good time. He would always have a bright spirit, even after all of the pain he had been trough, physically and emotionally. With Suni, all of his pain seemed to melt away.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Suni lay there, on top of Twister, staring into his laughing, bright eyes. Almost lost in thier depths of icy blue, she had to blink and shake her head before she finally struggled off of him.
Then, " Haha I know what ya mean. No offense taken!" she laughed.
Then, she turned around and faced Twister, suprised at his playful invatation. Then, seeing his eyes twinkle with encouragement, she made her way around him and hopped up onto his strong back. For the first time, Suni felt the other husky's strenth. Even with his slender appearence, he packed a lot of punch. He started off slow, just trotting. She laughed, and looked up to the sky. Bright blue with few clouds, it was one of the most beautiful days she'd seen a while. Then, suddenly, Twister launched into a much faster run, and Suni yelped with joy. This was exactly the kind of happyness and carefree feeling they needed. All the trouble latley, and the unkowing danger to come, it really took a toll on Suni. She was lost in the moment though, and closed her eyes, feeling the cool wind whip her fur. Rippling mucles under her, whipping wind above. A perfect moment, unaware of what was what to come.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Twister kept running as fast as he could across the sand. He was starting to get tired, but he would keep going, only of course if Suni was enjoying it. And Twist could tell that she was. Twister turned a little, veering towards the water. Suddenly, he dove right in, soaking the both of them, and laughing happily. “Haha, Sunshine, that was fun, yeah?” he asked with a playful wink.
Twister closed his eyes, feeling water in them. “Alright, alright, Suni, ya can stop splashin’ me. I know, you’re havin’ the time of ya life!... But yeesh,” Twister joked with a chuckle. Then he opened his eyes, and realized Suni wasn’t splashing him. “Oh… a storm. Aw man! Well that ruins our fun. Ya know, I was really hopin’ on playin’ some more. Guess we’ll just have to talk in the cave… that sucks. I don’t have nothin’ against talkin’, but still…” Twister said, voicing his annoyance.
But Twister didn’t know that this was what his ear was warning him about…

Re: The Beach- General RP
Splashed with the clear ocean water, Suni put her wet paws onto Twister's back and said, " You know it!" and laughed. She leaped over him, but as he spoke again, she heard the distant rumble of thunder and the pouring of rain. "Twist, we should get going...". Then noticing that Twister had said the same thing, she chuckled and muttered, "Well, talking is as good as any run on the beach.... " she paused to look up at her friend, " especially if it's with you..." she blinked softly.
And as they strolled off to the cave, Suni couldn't help but noticing the tension that crackled like the lighting around them that she felt coming from Twister's ear...

Re: The Beach- General RP
Twister shrugged at Suni's comment about talking. "Yeah... sure, I guess," he said unconvincingly as he continued to pad on beside his great friend. The rain started to fall a little harder, until it poured down on the two, soaking their fur so it made it hard to move. Twister's joints didn't work well in the rain either, so that was a bit of a set back.
Thunder could be heard in the distance, and it got louder and louder as they went on. Twister could tell something bad was going to happen now. Maybe this was what his ear was warning him of... Twister tried to shake the thought away, but he couldn't. He was worried for Suni's safety, so he started to pad a little faster through the forest to their cave.
Then it happened.
Suddenly, a flash of light appeared right in front of the two huskies. Twister didn't have time to think. He pushed Suni out of the way quickly, knocking her to her side. Then he turned back to the flash, and felt a jolt of heat go through his body. It knocked him backwards nearly thirty feet, and he slid across the mud until he came to a stop. And there he laid, motionless and silent...

Re: The Beach- General RP
Noticing Twister moving more swiftly, Suni assumed it was a good idea to listen to these signals he was giving and be more cautious. The rain pelted down, drenching her fur, which was uncomfortable even with Twister at her side.
Suddenly, confusion. A blinding purple flash. Scorching heat. A large blow to her side. The loudest noise she'd ever heard. Then, she felt her singed fur and hit the ground forcefully. Seconds later, she was blinking back tears from the intense light when she noticed, within her headache, that her friend, her Twister, was lying on the ground far from she. And he wasn't moving.
Fighting back the horrible pain that overcame her, and the fear, dread, and foreboding that had dawned, Suni struggled to her feet and hobbled as quickly as she could over to the black and white husky.
Nosing the area for danger before approaching, she realized, with despair, that she could not see Twister's flank moving up and down with breath. Nudging closer, she put her muzzle onto his chest and gasped as she felt a faintest of faint heartbeat and saw a slow and unsteady rise and fall of his lungs. He was alive. Joy nearly distracted her, but Suni knew that she would have to take a first step of recovery-- protect her lover for the night. Knowing that to move him might prove fatal, Suni leaped over to a bush and pulled as many strands of leaves and twigs off with her powerful jaws and laid them over Twister. Building a makeshift shelter, the female husky lay over him that night, hoping that he'd be okay. When morning came, she would be ready to face whatever the frickin world had to offer. She'd had enough of nature's games. But she had Twist to worry about...

Re: The Beach- General RP
Twister awoke in the morning to a faint chirping noise. Well, he thought he heard chirping, but there were no birds around at all. His mind was playing tricks on him after the lighting had stuck. Twister barely remembered a thing about the night before, just that Suni and him were playing on the beach, and they decided to go home because of the rain.
After Twister's head was clear, he shakily rose to his paws, shaking off the leaves and twigs from Suni's shelter. He could hear whispers. He looked around, but... no one. No one, except for Suni. His good friend was looking at him with a worried frown. It took Twist a few seconds to realize who it was, but once he did, he immediately approached her, and buried her face in her fur.
"S-Sunshine," he started quickly, his voice shaking and his breaths quick, "L-Lightnin' storm... we went into the f-forest... bad idea..." Twister fell back to the wet mud with a thud, exhausted from his horrifying experience. But he knew... it must have been worse for Suni. "Suni... I'm s-so sorry..." he muttered softly, his voice full of sadness. It wasn't Twister's fault, nor was it Suni's. But Twister really cared for his amazing friend, and he would do whatever it took to make her feel better. The fact that he was struck by lightning and survived the ordeal was second in his mind. Suni came first. Always.

Suni's eyes brimmed with tears-both from the intense sunlight and sadness. Her own weakness caused her to stumble backwards when Twister pushed into her, but she righted herself and put her muzzle beneath his. Closing her eyes for a moment, she looked up when he apologized.
"Twister...oh, there's nothing to apologize about. Here..." she said, lying down, "Come down here and let me get that fur of yours cleaned up. Maybe we can..." she trailed off. What she wanted to say was 'maybe we can see where your injuries are...' but she didn't like the sound of that.
After he laid down, she started to gently caress her pink toungue over the singed black and white fur on his head. She smiled as she saw his tail wagging slightly, involuntarily.
"All this soot...and mud, and sand..." she mumured. Suni worked her toungue for many hours over his fur but at last could not get all of the dirt off.
"I think we may /each/ need a bath..." she chuckled, heaving to her tired paws. Wincing as her left forpaw hit the ground, she realized that was what she'd landed on when the lightning had struck. Hoping that her mate didn't see that, she helped him up.
"Are you strong enough...? the beach isn't /that/ far away..." she questioned.

Twister breathed heavily, trying to regain his strength from the lightning the night before. He was still a bit shaky, but, putting one paw in front of the other, he slowly made his way towards the water with Suni. Responding to her question, he said, "Strength? Well, I have strength ta sleep," he joked. Nothing, even lightning, could destroy his sense of humor.
"Thank ya, Sunshine," he said happily, grinning as they walked towards the beach. He sniffed her fur as her burried his face into it. "Mmm, soot," he said with a weak chuckle. When they reached the water, Twister immediately plopped down into the water, barely keeping his face above so he could breathe. It was a bit painful at first, but the water soothed his injuries. All Twister did was lay there, and the water did the rest.
Twister motioned to Suni to follow him. "Sunshine, c'mere. The water's fine," he said, smiling and gazing lovingly at her.

Laughing, she replied, "Ah, well, I don't think you need strength to sleep. " Suni chuckled and shook her head. She wouldn't ever know how this husky ever kept his spirits up.
Perking her ears and wagging her tail as Twister nuzzled her fur, Suni giggled at his comment. "You know, that's not really any better than 'the ocean'..." she teased.
Still wagging, Suni trotted with a slight limp over to the water's edge where Twister lay, content. Settling herself beside him, the cool waves lapped at her paws and fur, relieving it of some of the pain. Besides, she was next to Twister; what better remedy could there be?
Looking over to him to lick his cheek, she smiled. Closing her eyes halfway, Suni lay her head against his powerful shoulders and sighed. To her, no moss, no fern, no sand could ever be as comfortable or soft as this very place. Dipping her ears, she inched closer so her side touched his as they lay in the soothing waters of the ocean.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Enjoying the calm lapping of the soothing ocean water upon his exhausted body, and the undying warmth of Suni's beautiful pelt, Twister rested on the beach contently. Across the water, he could see the sun slowly start to set on the horizon. It was the perfect moment, interupted only by the sound of thunder in the distance, which made Twister wince in pain.
"No wonder my brother Taacumpah is so scared o' thunder. Sure is frightenin'..." Twister said softly. There was just a hint of sadness in his voice. Because even though Suni was his family now, Twister still longed to be with his brothers and sisters. Where are you, Taa? Twister wondered, his mind in a sort of trance.
A shrill cry from a forest bird shook Twister from his far out state. Then he remembered the lightning. It not only struck him, but it had also injured Suni. He had realized her limp when they were on their way down to the water. Slowly, Twister bent down to give her paw a gentle lick. He licked a few more times, and then brought his head upward, his wet tongue landing next to Suni's nose.
Twister turned away slightly and chuckled to himself. "Ahaha, woops. Sorry, Sunshine," he said with his usual, wicked Twister smile. "Guess I need to watch what I'm doin', yeah?" Twister simply smiled, taking in the cool ocean air. With a sigh filled with mixed emotions, he rested his head on hers, and whispered softly into her twitching ears. "I love ya, Sunshine. I promise I won't let anything like that happen to you again."

Re: The Beach- General RP
Besides the distant gentle rolling of thunder in the distance and the soft chirping of the birds, all was quiet; so when Suni lifted her head, the dripping of water could be heard clearly.
Suni perked her ears toward Twister. Brother? She thought back to the first day they'd met, when he had only briefly talked of his family. Looking to her paws, Suni remembered the hurt she detected in his voice as he spoke of said family. Laying her ears gently back, Suni placed a paw on his before saying, "You don't have to talk about if you don't want to, but...what are your siblings like? And Taacumpah? Is he alright?"
When Twister licked her nose, Suni snorted happily and smiled.
Twister's head lowered to rest on hers. She felt her tail wag softly, involuntarily, and she leaned into his wartmth. Suni heard him whisper and her heart swell with joy and sadness, hope and guilt at the same time.
"Twister...it wasn't your fault. Really, it wasn't..." she paused for a moment to nudge his shoulder. "I love you too, more than anything. " she told him, and nuzzled his cheek tenderly, sighing.
Overhead, grey clouds congregated over the open waters, threatening a storm. The waves crashed slightly harder onto the beach. The sun, however, orange and pink with the setting rays, illuminated the sky, bright as ever.

Twister smiled at the mention of Taacumpah's name from Suni. It was quite a change from the last time Suni asked him about his family. He snapped at her. But this time it was different. He felt completely comfortable talking about his siblings to Suni, his new family.
"Taa? Ah, well, he and I were the best of buddies. He was the best big brother a husky could ask for. Taa cared for all of us. I looked up to him so much... he was like my father," Twister paused, taking a deep breath to keep himself from crying. "Yeah, Taa... hehe, quite a character he was. Of course not as much as me," Twister said, sticking out his tongue. "I hope he's okay. I haven't seen him since... well since... See this tag? Those filthy humans put it on me. And then they cleaned me, erasing all traces of my scent. So when they let us go into the wild, my mother didn't recognize me. And then, well... I just left. I ran. And then I met you," Twister said, with only the slightest hint of a smile.
"And then my sister, ah, my dear sister. Actually, she was kinda a brat. Yeah, but I loved her. Kayallana was her name. I remember my mother always blamed me whenever she cried. Hehe, but those were the good old days. She'd always say 'Twi-'... Er, actually, my name's not really Twister. I... I don't really remember what it is. But anyways, where was I? Ah, nevermind, that's my family in a nutshell," Twister finished, nuzzling Suni softly.
But there was something aching inside of him. For some reason, Twister wanted her to know. "Well, then there was my mother. Rainna. She was beautiful. And I... I loved her. More than anything. She and I were the best of friends before... yeah, ya know." A tear began to streak down Twister's cheek. But he let it fall, as well as the others that came shortly afterwards. "I loved her, and... and she loved me, and..." Twister paused, his nose to the sky, and a longing expression on his face. "Mamma... where are you?" he called, the hint of a child's voice in his tone.

Re: The Beach- General RP
Suni listened intently, her paw still holding Twister's.
Then, he mentioned his mother. And their bond, a bond that only canines could know the depth of.
And then...he cried to the skies, a mournful tone in his call and a yearning expression set deep in his eyes. It brought her to tears.
Suni howled. Howled out of sadness, out of grief, out of love, out of compassion. She released such an empathetic cry that it shook her own soul. Sobbing profoundly, remembering her own pain and suffering and her own loving family and friends, she lifted her head even higher, still howling. The thunder joined in with her voice, creating a haunting companion in song.
Twister and Suni's voices blended into one sad song, one desperate plea. They were one, in song, in heart, and in soul.
Yet a part of each of them would never be found. They each had a void somewhere deep in the caverns of their happy hearts, one that would never be filled again. It was a hole created by loss, by sadness, by grief. One, no matter how hard they tried, how long they howled, how deeply they loved, they would never erase.
