Shadow and Shade =3

Shadow was lying on the beach again, sunning himself mainly, but letting the cool water of the ocean wash over his tail. It was another perfect day for him...

Shadow loved the feeling of the cool water on his tail; it helped him take his mind off of what had happened earlier. What was the deal with Shade, and why were her emotions so contrasting towards him? Shadow pondered this until the warmth of the sun made him fall asleep. Cami had left because of Shade's actions... and possibly his own as well. He hoped that Shade would be able to keep her temper if they met again.

I have to go to bed.... God, I hate school! Oh, well. G'night, Tat.

Yeah, I didn't hate school as much until this year, now that I have friends on here =3 See you tomorrow ^^

Shade's fur bristled with pain and fury and her claws dug into the soft ground. Sighing, she sat down, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

During the time that Shade was quiet, Shadow had woken up and walked away from the water, and laid down again to let his tail dry out. He fell asleep quickly, lying with his legs and underside facing the sky.

Shade rose to her paws, shaking her pelt and bunching her muscles before breaking into a run. She had to find Suni. She'd be able to help.

By the time Shadow finally woke up, it was mid-morning; he loved waking up to the feeling of the sun on his belly. After sunning himself for about ten minutes, he rolled onto his paws, stretched, and decided to take a stroll along the beach.

Shade sat on the beach, the sun warming her gray-black fur and the sound of the ocean on the shore calming her and making her smile. It was beautiful out today and she felt way better after talking to Suni yesterday.

Shadow continued his calm stroll on the beach, the wind blowing against his face. Little did he know that Shade was about a hundred yards behind him, and the wind delivered his scent right to where she was.

Shade looked over and saw Shadow sitting there on the beach. Wagging her tail and smiling she said "Hi, Shadow."

Shadow glanced behind him; he did not really want to talk to Shade after the way she had treated him earlier. He stopped in his tracks; "What do you want?" he asked, swishing his tail. He was determined to keep her facing his rear end as much as possible; he didn't want to look at her that much.

Shade stood and walked over to Shadow, making sure she kept at a distance. She took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry Shadow. What happened yesterday, that wasnt me. I dont know what happened. I have this power and I just kind of...lost control. I'm really sorry."

Shadow wasn't very sure what to say; "Threatening to snap my tail off at the base is pretty extreme, Shade," he replied; "But I'll give you a second chance." He was absentmindedly flicking his tail around, and it eventually started to hit Shade's front legs.

Shade smirked a bit. "It's not my fault! I have this power. It's...complicated. I have a Voice in my head, and I can do things with my mind that nobody else can. It's weird. That's why my eyes will spontaneously start glowing. It either means I'm picking up psychic energy or that my Voice is going into overdrive. It does that."

"I noticed," said Shadow shortly; "But why use that power in a way that could seriously hurt the feelings of others? You said it yourself: you like making others squirm..." He was somewhat agitated, and his tail batted against Shade's legs more swiftly.

Shade's ears twitched and as Shadow's tail came her way again, she lifted her left paw so it would miss her. "Like I said, that was my Voice. I'm random natured, not evil. No, the Voice sits on that half of my brain. I'm very rarely ever mean. I tease people, yes, but I dont like to hurt others. I hate feeling guilty. Feeling guilty sucks." Shade suddenly started laughing, falling over into the sand.

"What's so funny?" Shadow asked, looking over his shoulder at her.

Shade, still laughing uncontrolably, said between laughing fits, "I dont know! I just felt the overwhelming urge to laugh! Bwahahahaha!!!" Shade rolled around in the sand, laughing helplessly.

Shadow finally turned around and padded over to Shade; her head was about a foot from his front paws. "You are... an interesting wolf," he said, hoping not to sound rude.
