Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I narrowed my eyes slightly; "You should still be careful, Leafsplash; human adults tend to spread lies that we're bad creatures, and the kids are real easy to fool..."
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I nodded at Shadow's words.
"Yeah, just stay away from them," I warned Leafsplash.
"Ok, ok, I wasn't gonna go near them," Leafsplash said, shaking her head. She then sat layed down, her fluffy tail quivering slightly. "So, Shadow, where do you come from?" she asked.

I laughed as always at Leafsplash's enthusiasm; "I come from a little town in Alaska," I said simply.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
Leafsplash perked up.
"Alaska? The human town?" I nodded.
"Yeah, Shadow's part-dog too." Leafsplash grinned.
"Really! I never would have guessed."
"Shadow's wolf gene dominates his outlook," I said.

I laughed at Moon's statement about my wolf gene; "Yeah, although I'm much bigger than most wolves," I said with a giggle as I wagged my tail.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I nodded. Shadow was much larger than me, though, I wasn't an enormous wolf myself. I had thick fur but was quite skinny.
Leafsplash sighed and layed her head down, her eyes drifting. I touched her with the tip of my tail.
"Go to sleep, hon'," I cooed. Leafsplash was my best friend in the pack; I looked after her almost like a mother did. She "hm'd" and drifted off to sleep. I smiled at Shadow. "Tired yet?" I asked.

I nodded; "Yeah, a little bit, but not as much as her," I said with a smile; "How about you?" I asked Moon.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I sighed and shrugged.
"Maybe a little, but, I think I'm just a little on edge..." I said, looking out the opening of the den. I still had thoughts of the wolf pack who for some reason wanted me dead.

I looked curiously at Moonstar, my ears lopsided; "How come?" I asked her.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
"Ya know... the pack," I said, my voice quivering at the end. I cleared my throat. "But, we'll be ok; my pack's strong," I said, determined.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I nodded at Moon; "Yeah, they'll be no problem; I scared them off by myself!" I mused, my wagging tail tickling Leafsplash's nose.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I smiled at Shadow then burst out laughing when Leafsplash leapt up, sneezing. She looked around tiredly.
"What, what? What's..." But she curled up and fell back asleep quickly. I rolled my eyes and grinned at Shadow.
"How about a little midnight run? I'm still not tired," I said, standing up.

I thought to myself for a moment; "Yeah, we could go for a walk, I guess, but I think we ought to stay in the camp," I said cautiously.
Re: The Quest of Self-Discovery - Moonstar/tatsu-okami
I nodded.
"Yeah, of course. Follow me," I said, stepping out into the cool night. A slight breeze ruffled my fur, and I closed my eyes and breathed in the crisp air. I walked to the middle of the pack clearing, hearing the snoring of my packmates. I motioned to Shadow a small pond off to the side. "Let's take a swim!"
I trotted into the water, beggining to swim, the water up to my chest.

I smiled at Moonstar and padded into the pool with her; the water was fairly cold, but my fur kept me warm as I stood in the water, which was a few inches below my chest at its deepest.
