Shadow thought for a second; "But besides, I'm... sterile; there's no way I could get you pregnant," he said, quite sure that he was indeed sterile. Maybe he should have the healer check him as well?

Rikku bowed her head. "I dunno...." As a doomcloud descended over Rikku's head, the fur on the back of her neck spiked up.
