Shadow smiled warmly, looking for a place to stay until morning; hopefully, Cinder would be healed by then.

"Hey how about behind that tree over there?" and she pointed with her nose.

Shadow looked to see an unbelievably thick tree, around ten feet in diameter. "Well, I was thinking about a cave or something, but that works fine," he said, glad that Cinder was staying alert.

Cinder plopped on the ground, her body seeming to be weak, but she wasn't as weak as she was, since she had her fill of meat.

Shadow laid against Cinder and curled his tail around to keep her warm; "Are you tired at all?" he asked; he had gotten plenty of sleep on the train.

Shadow smiled at her, laying his head on top of hers; "Well, get some rest if you want to," he said softly.

Soon, enough, she was fast asleep.

Morning came very quicky. Cinder woke up and yawned. Her wound was feeling much better, but it still stung a bit.

Shadow was still fast asleep; he had moved his head off of Cinder, so that it was laying right beside her.

Shdaow was sleeping very sound, she wasn't sure if she should wake him up, so she laid there with her eyes open.

Soon she got tired of waiting and woke him up. "hey, Shadow, let's start our day." she nuzzled him gently.

Shadow yawned widely and smiled at Cinder; "All right," he said warmly, slowly getting to his feet.

Cinder walked in frount of him, but sh wasn't sure where she was going. She paused.

she chuckled a bit. "I have no clue where to go!" she admitted.

Shadow smiled at her, although in the back of his mind, he was nervous; "Well, let's look around for a scent," he said calmly.

She smellt the ground, finding the fainted do gscent "They went this way."

Shadow picked up the scent, too; "Okay, let's follow it just fast enough so we don't lose the scent," he said.

And fast it was. She began to trot faster and faster, fllowing the sent, and grew stronger. "It'll take us at least a day to cover 50 miles"

Shadow swore; "Well, how strong is the scent? The stronger it is, the faster we can go," he said.

"Calm down Shadow, we'll get there." she said looked at Shadow "It's kinda strong, at least a few days old." she said. "So let's keep moving!"
