After walking for a few hours, Cinder came across another wolf. It was a big, furry black-granite colored wolf. It was have a share of prey as it's mostorous figure gulped down the meat. When it saw her, the look in the eyes where quite intimidating, but instend, it said "You look hungry, want some?"

Shadow woke up, feeling a strange tingling sensation throughout his entire body; he tried to lift one of his paws as hard as he could, but nothing happened. "Wh-what's happening to me? Why can't I move?" he asked the white bear, scared by what had happened to him.

The bear came and sniffed Shadow. "I gave you a muscle relaxer. Don't move, stay calm, everything's alright."

Cinder approched the mysterious wolf and warly lowered her head. "There's no need for that nonsense!!" The black wolf laughed "go ahead! eat up! I know i look quite indimitating, and too many people judge me to that. They immediatly attack me. And i'm a lone wolf also so that makes me more vulnerable. no wolf pack will accept me. But there is seriously no need to worry, I promise." The wolf's eyes shone with honesty and peacefulness. "oh, and by the way, my name's Makita."
Cinder was happy she has met a new friend. "thank you! I'm Cinderstar. You have quite a beautiful name!" and started eating the kill. It was best deer pick of the season! cinder was impressed.

Shadow tried to stay calm; "Not to offend or anything, I think something wrong happened; I can't move no matter how hard I might try," he said, embarrassed at how helpless he was. He hoped that Cinder would be back soon; he wasn't looking forward to having to lay like this for days on end, despite how much he liked to sleep.

"Well, try to sleep." and she walked off feeling kind of guilty, knowing that she accedentily gave him a leaf to much.

After cinder had her meal, she ddecided to talk to Makita "Hey, would you mimnd if you could help me? "sure, what's up?" Makita licked the blood of her nuzzle with satisfaction. "Well," Cinder started "My mate is in really bad condition right now, he's torn a mucsle in his hind leg, real bad." "Oh my Luna!" Mkita gasped. "Is he's alreight?!" she screamed "He's in a cave right now, with a bear. A nice one." "Sounds peculiar..." Makita replied. "Aren't bears like the meanest cretures on Earth?" she said. "Yes, but this one is caring and willing to help. Anyway, we live in the town of Nome, and we're trying to get back."

Shadow nodded, closing his eyes again, although he was not the least bit tired; he had noticed a flash of guilt across the bear's face, but he didn't ask about it; whatever she had done wrong, he knew that she was doing her best to help him out.

Cinder continued "So I'm going to try to get his brother to come with his sled team to come rescue us." "Sooo.... your mate's a husky?" Makita said, confused "Well, he's half-wolf, and half-husly./ He's a half-breed. Anyway..." then Makita interuppted "Husky's are evil lkittle things!! First, they invade your territoy, and while you're trying to fight them off, then come and try to eat you." Makita said, sjivering at the fast comment on the dogs.

Shadow was being plagued by a minor annoyance now; he like to use his tail to cover his face and keep warm, but he was unable to move it because of the herb's effect on him. He wondered how Cinder was progressing, and whether Kodi had reached home yet...

"They're not that bad" Cinder said. "But they did tease me once when i first arrived there. Some of them are just to ingnornent..." cinder said "Well, i can tag along with you if you like" Makita said shly, looking away "And i understand completely if you wouln't like to" "Sure!!" Cinder said, excited "I'm quite lonely, and you seems like a nice wolf that can be quite helpful."

lol, there's nothing for Shadow to really do XDD

Shadow made a feeble attempt to move his tail around to his front; he tried his hardest to move, but he felt the tip of his tail only moving about half and inch or so, then returning to its original postition.

Cinder was getting to know Makita, and Makita getting to know her, until after a few hours, they came aross, yes, another bear. Cinder didn't help with whimper, and the bear turn it''s attention towards them. Then Makita stood in front of Cinder. "let me take care of this one for ya."

Shadow finally gave up trying to move, letting out a feeble whine as he laid still and tried to sleep.

Shadow felt plagued by how useless he was, and he forced himself to do the only thing that he could do; sleep. It took him well over an hour and a half, but he finally dozed off.

Cinder was absouutly astouned by Makita's strength. She got the bear, threw it to the ground, and sstared into it's eyes. Then, after a moment, the bear ran off. "How......?!" cinder started but Makita simply walked past her with a rpoud smile. "Carry on." she said.

Shadow slept quite soundly, much more than the first time; he had the feeling that he could get a good few hours of sleep this time.

After what seemed like too long a time, Shadow woke up; "Wh... how long have I been out?" he asked out loud, unsure of whether anyone even heard him.

The bear and her family had gone hunting, so Shadow was by himself.

After a few more hours of walking, it had become dark "Hey, Cinder." Makita piped out "I know a great place with shelter and warmth. It'll be prefect for the night!! It's not far, too!" "Goood..... " Cinder mumbled "I'm so very tired I can hardly keep my eyes open!"

lol that's how i feel right now. It's midnight! :O

Shadow tested his leg when he found that he could move again; it was still sore when he tried to put weight on it, but he was now able to stand and walk. He took a while, but he was able to limp out of the cave, feeling regretful that he couldn't offer any more thanks for the way the bears had taken care of him, but he had to make sure Cinder was okay.

Soon they had gotten to the cave. I was very warm indeed, and Cinder made herself comfortable in a dark corner. Makita was at the entrance, looking on. "Do you want to sleep?" Cinder yelled "No, better keep watch." she replied.

Shadow had gotten out of the den, but he needed a while to rest; moving on only three legs was really hard for him. He took a moment to observe his surroundings, then he detected Cinder's faint scent, which he followed slowly and painfully.

Shadow was limping through the snow; he was so determined to find Cinder that he didn't care about the other wolf's scent that he had noticed accompanying hers.

Cinder was still in peaceful sleep but Makita smelled an unfamiliar smell.
